About This Journal

The International Arab Journal of Dentistry (IAJD) is the official journal of the Association of Arab Dental Faculties and is owned and published by Saint Joseph University of Beirut. IAJD is an international, open access, double-blind peer-reviewed journal with a focus on the Arab region.

The journal is dedicated to advancing research and clinical knowledge in all fields of dentistry and oral health sciences. Its mission is to publish high-quality scientific contributions that support the development of dental practice, education, and innovation across diverse disciplines within oral health.

IAJD follows the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Journal History

The International Arab Journal of Dentistry (IAJD) was established in 2010 with the aim of providing a scientific platform for the dissemination of dental research in the Arab world and internationally. Since its inception, the journal initially published articles in both English and French and has since continuously evolved to meet international publishing standards, expanding its scope and visibility.

Since January 2023, the Editorial Board has decided to publish only manuscripts written in English, while maintaining abstracts in both English and French to ensure broader accessibility and visibility within the international scientific community.

In January 2026, the journal increased its publication frequency to four issues per year and introduced enhancements to its editorial process. An updated online presentation was launched in July 2026.

Publishing Schedule

The journal was previously published biannually. Starting in January 2026, the publication frequency was increased to four issues per year, released quarterly in January, April, July, and October. Manuscripts are accepted on a continuous basis throughout the year. Articles accepted for publication are assigned to an upcoming issue according to editorial readiness and publication scheduling.

  • • The journal’s overall acceptance rate is 20%.

Article Publication Charge

The Article Publication Charge (APC) is fully covered by Saint Joseph University until further notice. Therefore, authors are not required to pay any publication fees.
