Abstract

In the context of the positive conditioning of the translator in conflict zones and the development of moral neuroscience, this article explains the generation of morality in the human brain and its ties with the imagination and the imaginary. Since moral dilemmas present often inconceivable and unrealistic situations, it is assumed that the reflection that these dilemmas generate, combined with practical application in the field, contributes to the moral and intellectual development of translators in conflict zones and broader areas of translation. This article first introduces the notion of the imaginary in the resolution of problems faced by these translators, as well as a new notion to the discipline of translation and translation studies: moral translation studies.

Résumé
Dans le cadre du conditionnement positif du traducteur dans les zones de conflit et du développement des neurosciences morales, cet article explique la génération de la moralité dans le cerveau humain et son lien avec l’imagination et l’imaginaire. Comme les dilemmes moraux présentent des situations souvent inconcevables et irréalistes, il est supposé que la réflexion que ces dilemmes génèrent, associée à une application pratique sur le terrain, contribue au développement moral et intellectuel des traducteurs dans les zones de conflit et autres domaines élargis de la traduction. Cet article introduit d’abord la notion de l’imaginaire dans la résolution des problématiques auxquelles font face ces traducteurs, ainsi qu’une nouvelle notion à la discipline de la traduction et de la traductologie : la traductologie morale.
